2011 Blazer Awards - Pyramid Alehouse Walnut Creek

  • Short (4 mi – 10 mi)
  • Half Marathon (11 mi – 14 mi)
  • Long (15 mi – 22 mi)
  • Full Marathon (26.2 mi)
  • Ultramarathon (50 Km)

    Participation
    All Coastal runners are automatically included in the Coastal Trail Blazer Awards competition.
     
    Points
    For each event, points will be given to the first ten male and first ten female overall and in each 10-year age group as follows:
  • 1st = 25 points
  • 2nd = 18 points
  • 3rd = 15 points
  • 4th = 12 points
  • 5th = 10 points
  • 6th = 8 points
  • 7th = 6 points
  • 8th = 4 points
  • 9th = 2 points
  • 10th = 1 point

    Awards
    For each category, award medals and Greenlayer Hi-tech shirts will be given to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place male & female finishers. (Note: If you're unable to make the Awards Ceremony, please contact us and we'll bring your awards to the next Coastal event in 2012.)

  • 10-year Age Groups (20-29, 30-39…)
  • Award winners are required to earn points in at least 2 events in the respective Blazer Category. Overall 1st place winners do not qualify for age-group awards. Tie scores will go to the runner who scored the points in the fewest events and then best placings, when possible. Note that your age group will be determined based on your age at the time you participate in your last Coastal event (for each category) in the calendar year.
