San Francisco

Course

Each lap is 1.065 miles (clockwise) around the lagoon at Crissy Field with spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, Alcatraz and the San Francisco Bay. The course is flat with 60% dirt and 40% asphalt path. USATF Certification code: CA09008RS

The course isn’t lighted and we recommend having a flashlight available at night. Crissy Field is open and a flashlight might not be necessary if it is a clear night.

Friends and family members are welcome to run some laps during the event to share in your experience. “Pacing” isn’t allowed. Generally, we want your achievement at New Year’s One Day (distance and/or place) to be a solo effort.

No dogs allowed on the course. Please don't leave pets in your vehicle.

Transponder Timing

Each lap will be recorded using a timing transponder. Wear the neoprene bracelet on your ankle for the transponder to be detected. Please return the timing transponder when you finish. They're VERY expensive!

Runners need to complete the full lap within the event time limit to receive credit for the distance.

Aid Station

Fully-stocked, self-serve aid station every lap. You can expect fresh fruit, salty snacks, assorted candy, boiled potatoes & salt, soup, water, soda, and Clif Shot Electrolyte sports drink.

Personal tents are allowed for "resting". The park does not allow "camping" at Crissy Field.  Tables, chairs and coolers are acceptable.

Restrooms are located adjacent to the course near the start/finish area.

Post-Run Activities

Awards Ceremony will be held at 9:15 a.m. (Jan. 1st). Award medals are given to the 1st female and male finishers overall and top three finishers in each age group. Runners who complete 94 laps will receive the "100+ Miles" belt buckle.

Each runner will receive a finisher's medal and a custom award with their name and distance. We expect to send out the custom awards in early January.

The top three teams will receive award medals. All teams will receive a custom coaster with their team name and distance completed.
